Shift Assistant – Cotuí Zone 4

About the role

The Shift Assistant supports the Station Manager in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations of a fuel service station and its retail store in Cotuí (Zone 4). The role involves overseeing daily activities, maintaining inventory, and guaranteeing adherence to HSE and HACCP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Station Manager to implement operational controls according to the Safety and Operations Manual.
• Promote the HSE program, conduct safety drills, and ensure all staff participation.
• Monitor tank measurements, fuel and lubricant inventories (Total brand), and store product stock to meet sales demand.
• Supervise fuel receipt, ensuring correct tank loading and preventing over‑fills or contamination.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, reconcile sales with service representatives, and manage financial reporting.
• Control the operation and maintenance of station equipment and facilities during the shift.
• Record purchases, audit sales, manage inventory levels, and generate related reports.
• Report and coordinate repair work, supervise external contractors, and ensure timely resolution of equipment failures.
• Handle customer complaints and suggestions, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
• Participate in recruitment, staff administration, and performance evaluation processes.
• Support HACCP compliance in the retail store, participate in inspections/audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform administrative tasks such as invoice registration, checklist completion, and product receipt verification.

Required profile

• Experience in managing fuel service station or similar retail operations.
• Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and HACCP standards.
• Ability to supervise staff, contractors, and coordinate shift activities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
