Electricista Automotriz – Diagnóstico y Reparación de Sistemas Vehiculares

About the role

We are looking for an Automotive Electrician to perform diagnostics, installations, maintenance and repairs of electrical and electronic systems on light and heavy vehicles. The professional will ensure proper functioning and reliability of vehicle systems while providing on‑site technical support to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems in light vehicles, trucks and heavy machinery, addressing faults in ignition, starting, charging, lighting and wiring.
• Use automotive scanners and diagnostic equipment to read fault codes, analyze electronic systems and determine root causes.
• Inspect, repair and install wiring, connectors, fuses, relays, sensors, actuators and other components.
• Interpret electrical diagrams and perform continuity, voltage and functional tests.
• Install, review and adjust GPS units and other electronic devices, ensuring correct connections.
• Conduct post‑service tests to verify proper operation of repaired or installed systems.
• Provide technical support at client locations, traveling as required.
• Maintain diagnostic tools, equipment and work area in organized and safe condition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical training in Automotive Electricity, Automotive Electronics, Automotive Mechanics or related fields.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or similar technical role with hands‑on diagnostic and repair skills.
• Valid category 3 driving licence and ability to operate manual‑transmission vehicles.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for service calls.
• Strong organizational skills, responsibility, proactivity, analytical ability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Use of automotive diagnostic scanners for fault detection.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical wiring, sensors, actuators, fuses, relays, ignition, starting and charging systems.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and execution of continuity, voltage and functional tests.
• Installation and configuration of GPS and other automotive electronic devices.
• Proficiency with manual tools, measurement equipment and automotive diagnostic tools.
