Quality Engineer II

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Quality Engineer II to develop, modify, and maintain quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. The role works closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality protocols are robust and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and apply quality standards and protocols for material processing.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to embed quality standards throughout production.
• Design and implement inspection and testing methods, mechanisms, and equipment.
• Conduct quality‑assurance tests and perform statistical analysis to assess product and material compliance.
• Identify non‑conforming products, determine root causes, and ensure corrective actions meet reliability standards.
• Maintain documentation that complies with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Specialize as needed in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory control, or R&D.

Required profile

• Established individual contributor capable of working independently with general supervision.
• Ability to set objectives for own work area and contribute to project milestones.
• Comfort with general, moderately complex problems and the capacity to recommend enhancements.
• Strong internal communication skills, regularly interacting with cross‑functional teams.
