HR Data & Support Specialist

About the role

The HR Data & Support Specialist will ensure service excellence for global clients by handling complex HR requests, maintaining accurate workforce data, and supporting compliant decision‑making. This remote position is based in the Dominican Republic and offers a pathway to long‑term growth within Emapta’s international network.

Key responsibilities

• Process background checks, drug screenings, job title creation, and EEO‑1/VETS‑4212 reporting.
• Manage employment verifications, E‑Verify, direct deposit setup, HR invoices, and employee lifecycle updates.
• Assist with payroll, benefits administration, HR technology, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims as required by clients.
• Support clients and onsite employees with HR inquiries while ensuring compliance with U.S. federal HR laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of HR experience, or 3‑5 years of relevant HR experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal HR regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, proactive problem‑solving, and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Prism or a similar Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
• Exposure to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (preferred).
