Senior Private Cloud Engineer

About the role

GBH is looking for a Senior Private Cloud Engineer to design, implement and support high‑performance private cloud environments for our customers in Latin America. You will work closely with solutions architects and consulting teams to deliver VMware‑based SDDC solutions that meet strict service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and deploy private cloud architectures (HCI, Software Defined Network, etc.) following best practices.
• Create high‑level and low‑level design documentation, including detailed procedures.
• Install, configure and manage VMware components such as vSphere, vSAN, SRM, vROPS and vRLI.
• Provide timely technical support and fault resolution while adhering to SLA commitments.
• Own patching, upgrade projects and health‑check processes for private cloud environments.
• Test emerging technologies, lead proof‑of‑concept activities and recommend appropriate use cases.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge through lab testing and certification renewal.
• Collaborate with team members and architects to ensure optimal solutions for each customer.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with VMware environments and SDDC design.
• Proven consulting or architectural experience, preferably in a client‑facing role.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis in virtualized infrastructures.
• Experience with physical rack hardware (UCS, HP, Dell) and networking concepts.
• VCP‑DCV certification is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated team player eager to stay current with hybrid cloud technologies.
