Purchasing Lead Supervisor

About the role

The SCM Center of Excellence is seeking a Purchasing Lead Supervisor to lead buyer teams across Pune, Budapest and Santo Domingo. You will be responsible for material supply planning, procurement operations and continuous improvement of key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support buyer teams to ensure efficient, timely procurement.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement KPIs such as PO compliance, invoice management and master data maintenance.
• Act as first‑level escalation point for procurement issues within the CoE.
• Oversee execution of team projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with global supply chain goals.
• Coach, mentor and manage performance of team members.
• Collaborate with global CoE teams and network stakeholders to resolve queries and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in supply chain management, planning, customer service or procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use predictive analytics for process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using MAPICS.
• Knowledge of KINAXIS.
• Familiarity with AS400.
• Experience with VISTA.
