About the role
This permanent position at UPS Supply Chain Solutions manages multiple ocean‑related tasks while delivering excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers, handling proactive and reactive communication.
- Process ocean shipment orders, review quotes/rates, and audit operational performance.
- Resolve complaints across functional groups and develop action plans for trends.
- Interface with external carriers and vendors to maximize service.
- Train new hires and act as a mentor.
- Support export/import compliance and regulatory responsibilities.
Required profile
- Minimum one year of customer service experience.
- Extensive understanding of ocean transportation regulations, brokerage, and freight forwarding routing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Systems knowledge and analytical/resolution abilities.
