IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems at Playa Nueva Romana. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing computer equipment and networks while providing efficient user support.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure operating systems and peripheral devices such as computers, printers, and scanners.
• Analyze and resolve hardware and software issues, including diagnostics of hard drives, RAM, motherboards, and power supplies.
• Perform performance and stability tests on computer equipment and troubleshoot network connectivity problems.
• Handle support tickets, resolve incidents, and train users on proper equipment and software usage.
• Document recurring problems and develop standard solutions.
• Manage network security and assist with router, switch, and server configuration.

Required profile

• Formal training (FP) in system administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.

• Hardware troubleshooting and repair.

• Networking fundamentals and communications.
• Ticketing system experience (Jira).
