Helpdesk Support Specialist

About the role

TransPerfect is looking for an energetic Helpdesk Support Specialist to join its on‑site team. You will provide daily technical assistance to employees, handling hardware, software and network issues while contributing to a collaborative, high‑productivity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve Helpdesk tickets and deliver on‑site technical support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems; escalate complex cases.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Track and manage inventory of PCs, monitors, scanners and related equipment.
• Create and update knowledge‑base documentation.
• Provide scheduled on‑call support as required.

Required profile

• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and excellent written/oral communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a customer‑service focus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Minimum high school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in IT preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant IT experience; certifications (CompTIA A+, MCP) are a plus.
• VOIP experience preferred.

Required skills

• Desktop and laptop hardware support.
• Operating systems: Windows 10/11, macOS.
• Microsoft Office 365/2021/2013, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Collaboration tools: Zoom, Duo, Slack.
• Tier‑1 network support: TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, cabling.
• Basic mobile device support and virus/malware removal techniques.
