Senior C++ Desktop Applications Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior C++ Desktop Applications Developer to lead the modernization of legacy Windows UI applications and drive high‑quality software delivery. Working closely with the Product Owner and R&D leadership, you will design, architect, and implement robust desktop solutions while mentoring a cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural redesign and modernization of legacy UI applications for Microsoft Windows.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance core desktop applications, ensuring clean, well‑documented, and unit‑testable code.
• Define and execute test strategies, write unit test plans, and champion quality‑first processes.
• Conduct sprint and release planning, provide accurate effort estimates, and assess technical risks.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on complex defects and collaborate with Technical Support, QA, and Product Management to resolve issues.
• Lead code, design, and test reviews to promote zero‑defect initiatives.
• Produce technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and high‑level feature documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8‑10+ years of professional C++ development experience, primarily on Microsoft Windows.
• Proven track record of modernizing legacy desktop UI applications.
• Strong analytical, self‑management, and communication skills.
