Executive Pastry Chef

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead all pastry operations across the resort’s restaurants, banquets, in‑room dining and special events. The role combines creative menu development with rigorous quality and safety standards to deliver memorable dessert experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily pastry production for all resort outlets, banquets and events.
• Design innovative, seasonally inspired pastry menus that showcase local Dominican ingredients.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop a diverse pastry and bakery team.
• Maintain consistent quality, taste, presentation and portion control across all products.
• Manage food costs, inventory, purchasing, production planning and waste reduction within budget.
• Ensure compliance with Four Seasons food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior pastry chef in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Creative culinary vision with a focus on local flavors.
• Excellent organizational and cost‑control skills.
