Conference Services Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Conference Services Manager to join its pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Conference Services, you will coordinate group meetings, incentive programs and special events, acting as the primary liaison between clients and resort departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned groups from turnover through departure, handling program details, event planning, documentation, billing and post‑event follow‑up.
• Identify qualified supplier partners and develop a catalogue of destination experiences for groups.
• Conduct planning calls and client site inspections, translating client needs into detailed event plans.
• Coordinate guest rooms, meeting spaces, food & beverage, audiovisual services, transportation, recreation, spa and other program elements.
• Lead pre‑convention meetings and internal operational reviews to ensure flawless execution.
• Identify upselling opportunities and manage program changes in line with contractual terms and pricing strategy.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Two to three years of experience in Conference Services, Catering, Event Planning or hotel operations, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of group operations, Banquet Event Orders, event logistics and client communication.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel sales and catering systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with event‑planning tools and software.
