About the role
Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a Web Design Systems Designer you own the creation of client design systems, turning brand guidelines into reusable token architecture and component libraries.
Key responsibilities
- Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that our pipeline can read predictably.
- Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
- Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
- Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different, while maintaining the same structural rigor.
Required profile
- 4+ years designing for the web with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
- Strong English proficiency and ability to work US business hours.
- A portfolio showing varied client work with consistent design‑system rigor.
