Travel Plan Specialist – Travel Services

About the role

This role supports the mission of the Church by making gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible through efficient travel processes, systems, and tools. The specialist will manage existing travel tools, implement new solutions, and ensure smooth operations across the Church Travel office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide management and technical support for existing travel tools, products, and processes (40%).
• Plan and oversee implementation of new or modified tools and processes within Travel Services operations (30%).
• Manage and track performance of travel vendors, tools, and service providers against commitments (15%).
• Identify partner needs, develop service action plans, and manage related relationships (10%).
• Support Regional Operations Managers and Area Travel Offices as required (5%).

Required profile

• BS degree or equivalent supervisory/management experience.
• At least seven years of travel industry experience, including one year in a church travel office.
• Minimum two years on the Travel Support Services team.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with travel systems and tool suppliers.
• Experience leading cross‑functional, multi‑geographic teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good financial, information systems, and analytical abilities.
