Travel Industry Sales Manager

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Travel Industry Sales Manager to join its pre‑opening team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will lead sales initiatives across travel‑industry accounts, build strategic partnerships and drive profitable revenue for the new luxury destination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned travel‑industry accounts, segments and territories.
• Prospect, solicit and secure business from luxury travel advisors, agencies, consortia, wholesalers and tour operators.
• Manage the full account‑development cycle, including qualification, rate negotiation, contracting, activation and retention.
• Build trusted, long‑term relationships with key partners through personalized engagement and exceptional service.
• Conduct sales calls, destination presentations, familiarisation trips, trade shows and client events.
• Partner with Revenue Management and Commercial leadership on pricing, segmentation and promotional opportunities.
• Maintain accurate account data and production reports in the resort’s CRM and sales systems.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and luxury travel trends to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Tourism or related field.
• Three to five years of luxury hotel sales, travel‑industry sales or hotel‑operations experience with a proven record of meeting commercial goals.
• Strong knowledge of the luxury travel industry, agency and consortia landscape, and wholesale distribution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Opera, Delphi or comparable hotel sales and CRM systems.
