Trainee de Planificación de Producción

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Production Planning Trainee to join our Operations team in San Pedro de Macorís. This position offers hands‑on experience in scheduling, order management and cross‑functional coordination within a tobacco manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily and weekly production planning for cigars and coils.
• Record production data in internal systems, including capacity, dispatch schedules and material arrivals.
• Monitor the production plan and communicate any deviations to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing operational reports such as production schedule compliance, order status and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Production and Maintenance teams to ensure operational continuity.
• Maintain and verify the accuracy of databases and documentation.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives by proposing process optimisations.
• Provide administrative support to the planning department as needed.

Required profile

• Active student or final‑year student in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
