Tool & Die Maker-II MFG Maintenance

About the role

The Tool & Die Maker-II will be responsible for building and repairing tooling, fixtures, and maintaining metal‑working equipment such as lathes, mills and cutters. The role supports continuous‑flow production by ensuring a stocked inventory of consumable parts and executing maintenance tasks in a lean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair parts and fixtures for production lines, maintaining a KANBAN inventory.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lathes, milling machines, and other CNC equipment in the tool room.
• Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to produce accurate components.
• Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, hardness testers) to verify part quality.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities (Kaizen, Lean, 5S).
• Document and update preventive‑maintenance procedures.
• Conduct technical and safety inspections during each shift.
• Create, adjust, and modify parts to support projects and machine upgrades.
• Assemble safety guards according to specifications.
• Participate in EHS training and adhere to company safety policies.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma (Bachiller) and technical training in lathe and milling operations.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in tool‑room or manufacturing maintenance.
• Basic English proficiency; technical English preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CNC programming and maintenance for lathes and mills.
