Testing Engineer – Mid-level QA Role

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level Testing Engineer to own quality across our product portfolio in Santo Domingo. You will be the first dedicated QA voice on the team, shaping testing processes and building automation from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a Playwright end‑to‑end automation suite, including architecture, page objects, test data strategy and CI integration.
• Write stable Playwright tests with proper auto‑waiting, web‑first assertions and no flaky sleeps.
• Run and triage Playwright tests in CI/CD pipelines across browsers, keeping the suite fast and reliable.
• Maintain and extend developer‑owned unit and integration tests using Vitest, React Testing Library, xUnit and Moq.
• Review test coverage in pull requests and decide the appropriate test level (unit, integration, E2E).
• Write SQL queries to verify database state against UI and API results.
• Own bug reporting end‑to‑end, reproducing issues, documenting steps and confirming fixes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional QA or software testing experience.
• Hands‑on experience building Playwright suites, including authentication handling and CI integration.
• Ability to debug flaky automation and implement robust locator strategies.
• Solid manual testing fundamentals and experience with API testing (Postman or similar).
• Working SQL skills for data verification.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and bug‑tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
