Technical Service Manager – Gas Turbine Maintenance

About the role

The Technical Service Manager will lead the technical planning and execution of maintenance activities for medium and large gas and steam turbines across Central America, the Caribbean, Guyana and Suriname. You will work closely with Technical Sales, Project Managers, Field Services and customers to define scopes, schedules and resources for turbine outages.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical scope, schedule, activity breakdown and resource requirements for turbine outage projects.
• Coordinate with sales, project management and field teams to capture accurate technical requirements.
• Lead tool and equipment planning to support each project.
• Conduct technical meetings with customers on‑site or remotely and provide regular progress reports to the District Service Manager.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality and other Siemens Energy management system protocols.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering (bachelor’s level).
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a mechanical field engineer or Technical Project Manager in Power or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Professional fluency in English (spoken, written and reading).
• Willingness to travel up to 70 % domestically and internationally.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules, priorities and multiple concurrent projects.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Siemens turbine models (SGT 750, SGT 800, 2000E, 5000F, 8000H).
• Understanding of V 50 Hz and V 60 Hz turbine technology.
• Experience with gas turbine and steam turbine maintenance and outage planning.
• Strong background in mechanical/electromechanical engineering principles.
• Technical project management expertise in power plant environments.
