Sourcing Assistant

About the role

The Sourcing Assistant will support the sourcing team in managing and tracking projects, preparing quotations, and maintaining the ESSP system. This role also provides operational support for plant escalations and assists in prototype development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential suppliers and manage quotation processes across material categories.
• Support the supply‑chain team by obtaining and evaluating quotations, recommending suppliers based on company policies and strategies.
• Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses when required.
• Lead approval processes for new or existing components, ensuring RoHS compliance.
• Create purchase orders, receive and approve first‑article inspection (FAI) samples and tooling samples.
• Update suppliers with engineering package changes and keep the ESSP database current.
• Maintain the Part Tracker with activity forecasts and report project progress.
• Participate in project meetings and provide general supply‑chain support.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply‑chain, purchasing or ERP system management.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with Eaton’s business systems and supply‑chain certifications is a plus.
