Senior Medicaid Case Manager

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and highly organized Senior Medicaid Case Manager to guide seniors and their families through the Medicaid application process. The role combines empathetic client interaction with rigorous review of financial and legal documentation to ensure successful approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the collection and verification of financial documents, including bank statements, asset disclosures, tax returns, and legal papers spanning 3‑5 years.
• Maintain ultimate responsibility for the completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of each application before submission.
• Conduct sensitive interviews with seniors and families, explaining complex Medicaid rules in clear, reassuring language.
• Provide a calm, patient presence for clients experiencing stress or cognitive decline, moving at a pace that ensures comfort and respect.
• Serve as the primary liaison among clients, financial institutions, legal representatives, and Medicaid offices to resolve queries and provide additional information.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, social work, elder law, or medical billing.
• Direct experience with long‑term care Medicaid applications is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify missing pieces in complex financial records.
• Strong critical‑thinking skills to navigate bureaucratic obstacles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify legal and financial terminology.
