Senior Legal Lawyer

About the role

Alstom, a global manufacturer of rail transportation systems, is looking for a Senior Legal Lawyer in Santo Domingo. The role guides strategic legal initiatives and ensures compliance across complex, high-impact projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to protect the company's integrity and support its growth in the mobility sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents with an acceptable level of risk.
• Support the business in all legal and contractual matters, including claim management and dispute settlement.
• Evaluate tender documents from a contractual and legal point of view.
• Support the business on litigation, arbitration or other dispute matters.
• Handle corporate law matters.

Required profile

• Conversational English.
• Expertise in contract law, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of international trade law and public procurement frameworks.
• Ability to turn legal insights into actionable business strategies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in legal risk assessment tools and document management systems.
• Ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements using digital contract platforms.
