Senior Data Engineer & Full-Stack Developer

About the role

A company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer and Full-Stack Developer to maintain, optimize and expand its internal operations and revenue command center. The role combines data pipeline engineering, web application maintenance and automated data quality assurance, with the goal of keeping data accurate across fragmented systems such as EHR, billing, remittances and CRM.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines from PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, REST APIs and billing feeds, resolving schema drift, sync breaks and billing lag.
• Build continuous data validation checks and nightly automated reconciliation test suites, treating unexplained variances as critical bugs.
• Ensure every KPI can be traced back to its raw source records with verifiable accuracy.
• Maintain the production application built with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy 2, Alembic, PostgreSQL, React 19 and TypeScript.
• Build interactive dashboards with drill-down tables (TanStack Table) and custom SVG/D3 charts showing exact counts, percentages and source details.
• Expand test suites with pytest unit and integration tests and Playwright end-to-end tests.
• Use Claude Code and AWS Bedrock models to speed up planning, code generation, testing and query optimization.
• Deploy and manage AWS services (ECS Fargate, S3, Secrets Manager, Terraform, GitHub Actions) and nightly batch jobs.
• Enforce HIPAA and data security: audit logging, de-identified test data and no protected data in code, logs or AI prompts.

Required profile

• Advanced SQL and T-SQL, data modeling, schema migrations and multi-system joins.
• Backend: Python 3.12, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy 2, pytest; frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Table, SVG/D3, Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding agents, critically auditing their output.
• Nice to have: healthcare revenue cycle experience (CPT/HCPCS, 835 remittances, claim denials), behavioral health levels of care, AWS Bedrock/Claude integration.
