Senior AI Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, build, and operate LLM‑powered features across Kiwi’s products and operations. You will work on conversational agents, voice experiences, and workflow automations, ensuring they are reliable, cost‑effective, and performant in production.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain LLM‑driven chat, voice, and automation features, including tool integration and context management.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Kiwi’s backend services, APIs, and internal tools.
• Evaluate and improve AI behavior through testing, production feedback, and metrics.
• Investigate and resolve issues such as incorrect responses, latency, cost overruns, or failed tool calls.
• Design safeguards for actions affecting customers or business processes, including validation and human confirmation.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering experience building and operating backend services and APIs in production.
• Hands‑on experience shipping LLM applications with tool calling, agent workflows, and external system integration.
• Proven ability to improve LLM applications using evaluations, traces, user feedback, or production metrics.
• Experience designing reliable asynchronous workflows with failure handling, retries, observability, and recovery.
• Clear communication and ownership across engineering, product, and business teams.
