Senior Accountant

About the role

Sociedad Gastronómica Italiana Amici, a hospitality and culinary corporation in the Dominican Republic, is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant in Santo Domingo. The role oversees core accounting operations and financial reporting, supporting the company's culinary and hospitality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, manage general ledger entries, reconciliations and closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor budgets, analyze variances, support cost-control initiatives and give financial insights to management.
• Supervise accounting procedures, coordinate with external auditors and improve internal controls.
• Collaborate with operations and management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role; hospitality, restaurant or food and beverage experience is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements in the Dominican Republic.
• Ability to design, implement and monitor internal controls, policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, attention to detail and clear professional communication.
• Willingness to work on-site in Santo Domingo.
