Retail Service Agent – Customer Sales & Support

About the role

The Retail Service Agent works at a FedEx Ship Center, promoting products and services to customers over the counter or by phone. The role combines sales, customer support, and operational tasks to ensure a smooth, profitable retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Promote FedEx products, services, and packaging materials, identify customer needs, and provide tailored recommendations.
• Process sales transactions, validate cash, reconcile packages, and prepare daily deposits following established closing procedures.
• Generate and run sales and inventory reports, monitoring daily volume, cash flow, and profitability.
• Maintain communication with the Retail Coordinator/Manager about daily results, issues, and audit requirements (PCI, safety, inventory).
• Assist customers with tracking, package storage, labeling, insurance, hazardous‑material handling, and customs documentation.
• Support store operations: opening/closing the branch, keeping the work area clean, loading/unloading shipments, and managing packaging supplies.
• Perform basic computer tasks (scanner, printer, intranet) and minor equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of retail sales or customer‑service experience in the logistics/transportation sector.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Customer‑oriented, detail‑focused, organized, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation (scanner, printer, intranet).
