Remote Senior Cybersecurity & Compliance Consultant (HIPAA, NIST & SOC 2)

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Senior Cybersecurity & Compliance Consultant to lead engagements for clients in healthcare, professional services, and other regulated sectors. The consultant will provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance while supporting virtual CISO (vCISO) initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity and compliance assessments (HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2).
• Evaluate and document clients’ security postures and identify gaps.
• Develop remediation plans and assist in policy implementation.
• Prepare professional assessment reports and deliver security awareness training.
• Support virtual CISO engagements and ongoing security initiatives.
• Lead client meetings, explain compliance obligations, and translate requirements into business‑focused recommendations.

Required profile

• Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong technical cybersecurity expertise with in‑depth knowledge of HIPAA, NIST, and SOC 2.
• Experience supporting clients in healthcare, professional services, or other regulated industries.
• Resourceful, accountable, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Reliable home workstation (Windows 10+, two monitors, high‑speed internet).
• Willingness to work U.S. EST business hours and undergo a background check.
