Ramp Agent – Ground Operations

About the role

The Ramp Agent is a full‑time, on‑site position based at the airport in La Romana. You will support ground operations by loading and unloading baggage, cargo and equipment, and performing aircraft service tasks while following safety and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport baggage, cargo and ground support equipment on the ramp.
• Operate or assist with heavy ground‑support machinery and position equipment around aircraft.
• Assist with aircraft arrival and departure activities, ensuring timely service.
• Perform basic documentation and data entry related to flights and cargo.
• Provide courteous, professional service to airline staff and colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in aviation, logistics or ground handling is a plus.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, teamwork and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required skills

• Experience handling baggage, cargo and ground materials with attention to safety.
• Ability to work on the ramp following established aircraft servicing procedures.
• Capability to operate or assist with heavy equipment and ground‑support tools safely.
• Basic computer literacy for recording operational data and completing digital forms.
