QA Test Engineer (Santo Domingo)

About the role

A mid-level Testing Engineer is sought to own quality across the product portfolio. As the first dedicated QA voice on the team, you will shape how testing is done rather than inherit a process. The role moves between products and problem domains, and spans manual and automated testing with Playwright at its core.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and own the Playwright E2E automation suite, including page objects, fixtures, test data strategy and CI integration
• Write stable Playwright tests with proper auto-waiting and web-first assertions, run them in CI/CD and triage failures
• Write, maintain and execute test cases for new features and regression cycles
• Contribute to developer-owned unit and integration suites (Vitest + React Testing Library on the frontend, xUnit + Moq on the .NET backend)
• Review test coverage in pull requests and advise on the testing pyramid
• Test UI behavior, API contracts, database state, numeric output, access control, dates and timezones, and data exports
• Write SQL queries to verify data, report bugs end-to-end and take part in requirement reviews
• Help define the QA process, automation coverage targets, regression scope and release criteria

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional QA / software testing experience
• Hands-on Playwright experience, having built or substantially extended a suite yourself
• Ability to debug and stabilize flaky automation and to read and extend developer test suites
• Experience testing web applications, writing SQL and working in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Adaptable across products and domains, with clear, reproducible bug reports
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and a bug-tracking tool
