Purchasing Supervisor – Supply Chain Leadership

About the role

The OSS Purchasing Supervisor leads the purchasing team within a workcell, supporting supply chain strategy implementation and ensuring material supply meets demand while optimizing costs. This role combines leadership, cost management, and technical oversight of purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage the purchasing staff, including performance management and succession planning.
• Develop and execute material cost‑reduction initiatives and monitor cost trends.
• Prepare accurate forecasts, compare them to actuals, and address supply gaps, shortages, or excess inventory.
• Lead price administration, ensuring data integrity, standard costs, and competitive quoted costs.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in purchasing or materials management.
• Proven leadership experience, including recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Strong analytical skills for forecasting, cost analysis, and trend assessment.
