Negotiator

About the role

As a Negotiator at Americor you will work directly with creditors, collection agencies and attorney offices to negotiate fair, reduced settlements that help clients regain control of their financial lives. The role is relationship‑driven and rewards patience, clear communication and problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices to negotiate fair, reduced settlements on behalf of clients.
• Calculate, create, and process settlements within department guidelines.
• Manage an active queue of accounts, staying organized to meet monthly production goals.
• Review client accounts to assess available funds and determine next steps.
• Gather and submit documentation needed for settlement approval and payment.
• Collaborate with teammates to share insights and support each other in achieving the best outcomes.
• Multitask across a busy account queue while maintaining clear, effective communication.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Genuine passion for helping people and an outstanding focus on client needs.
• Good judgment and adaptability in fast‑changing conversations.
• Ability to meet and exceed monthly production goals.
• Close attention to detail and consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in debt settlement negotiations, collections, mortgage loan processing, or customer service.
• Debt settlement negotiation experience preferred.
