Minor League Physical Therapist – Dominican Republic

About the role

The Minor League Physical Therapist will deliver rehabilitative care to operative and non‑operative baseball players at the Milwaukee Brewers Dominican Republic Academy. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with the Player Health and Performance departments to ensure athlete‑centered treatment, injury prevention, and game coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, and patient education for injured athletes.
• Develop and manage player throwing programs and return‑to‑play progressions.
• Collaborate with the Player Health and Performance teams for high‑quality care and game coverage.
• Supervise and educate Minor League medical staff, including athletic trainers and strength‑and‑conditioning personnel.
• Communicate all treatments, evaluations, and exams to the Rehabilitation Team.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of professional baseball medical experience.
• National certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited four‑year institution.
• Eligibility for dual PT/ATC licensure.
• Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certification or completion of ABPTS‑approved acute injury and illness courses before the season starts.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
