Mid-level QA Engineer – Playwright Automation

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑level QA Engineer to own quality across our product portfolio in Santo Domingo. You will be the first dedicated QA voice, shaping testing processes, building Playwright E2E automation, and collaborating with developers on unit and integration tests.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain a Playwright E2E automation suite, including architecture, page objects, test data strategy and CI integration.
• Write stable Playwright tests with proper auto‑waiting, no arbitrary sleeps, and ensure fast, reliable CI runs.
• Develop and execute manual test cases for new features and regression cycles.
• Extend and maintain developer‑owned unit and integration suites (Vitest, React Testing Library, xUnit, Moq).
• Review test coverage in pull requests and decide the appropriate test level (unit, integration, E2E).
• Write SQL queries to verify UI data against Azure SQL database state.
• Own end‑to‑end bug reporting, reproducing issues, documenting steps and confirming fixes.
• Participate in requirement reviews, flag ambiguous specs and help define QA processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional QA/testing experience.
• Hands‑on Playwright experience, having built or significantly extended a suite.
• Ability to debug and stabilize flaky automation.
• Familiarity with unit/integration testing frameworks (Vitest, xUnit, Moq) and mocking.
• Strong manual testing fundamentals and exploratory testing skills.
• Experience with API testing (Postman or similar) and reading JSON payloads.
• Proficient SQL skills for data verification.
• Comfortable coding in TypeScript/JavaScript for test authoring.
