MEP Lead – Building Engineer

About the role

The Building Engineer (MEP Lead) provides technical leadership for all building systems, ensuring a safe and reliable environment for occupants. The role balances preventive and corrective maintenance, compliance, and operational continuity while prioritising safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and maintain asset registers and service records.
• Supervise multi‑skilled technicians, allocate tasks, and manage incident triage and escalations.
• Coordinate vendors for HVAC, electrical, elevators, fire/life‑safety, plumbing and low‑current systems, verifying SLAs and compliance.
• Ensure life‑safety systems testing (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers) and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Maintain BMS/CMMS data quality, manage work orders, backlog, and contribute to energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Provide technical input to capital projects, minor works and fit‑outs, overseeing commissioning and handover quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in building MEP operations with a proven track record.
• Hands‑on experience with BMS and CMMS, and familiarity with life‑safety standards and commissioning.
• Experience supervising technicians and managing multi‑vendor contracts in high‑density workplaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent technical certification with experience).
• Availability Monday‑Friday 09:00‑18:00.
