Medical Billing & Collections Representative

About the role

Patricia Baez Company is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and service-driven Medical Billing & Collections Representative to support billing and collection activities in Bella Vista, Santo Domingo. The position is full time and on site, and involves communicating with clients, patients, insurance providers and other parties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Process and follow up on medical billing accounts.
• Review billing information and identify discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding balances and pending payments.
• Perform collection activities professionally and accurately.
• Maintain updated records of payments, accounts and collection activities.
• Communicate with clients, patients and insurance providers about account status and help resolve billing and payment issues.
• Handle clerical, administrative and data-entry tasks related to billing.
• Keep sensitive information confidential and accurate, and support documentation and follow-up according to internal procedures.

Required profile

• Preferred: experience in medical billing, collections, customer service, call center or administrative support.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Availability to work on site in Bella Vista, Santo Domingo.
• Organized, results-oriented, able to manage several accounts and priorities.

Required skills

• Strong computer and clerical skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• A strong plus: familiarity with U.S. medical billing processes, AR follow-up, EOBs, claims, denials, patient balances, insurance verification or billing systems.
