Manufacturing Engineering Technician II

About the role

Provide equipment and process support, including machine maintenance, to printed circuit assembly lines at Jabil.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop machine programs, part definition files, and machine set‑ups.
• Optimize programs and set‑ups to meet or exceed theoretical run‑rates.
• Monitor line performance, analyze defect data, and perform out‑of‑cycle maintenance as needed.
• Assist operators with training, changeovers, and break coverage to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and support managers to ensure maximum line efficiency and product quality.
• Provide daily pass‑down reports and adhere to safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree preferred or minimum two years of related experience/training.
• Ability to train Manufacturing Engineering Tech I employees and support Machine Operators.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Machine programming and set‑up development.
• Equipment maintenance and out‑of‑cycle repair.
• Process optimization for reflow, wave solder, and screen printing of solder paste.
• Tooling design, fabrication, and product design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
• Data analysis using CIQ, TARS, ICT Diagnostic sheets, and feeder data.
