Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the design, optimization, and monitoring of production processes, equipment, and systems to ensure high quality, safety, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define manufacturing architecture, line design, and capacity plans aligned with cost, quality, and volume targets.
• Lead equipment, automation, tooling, and test strategy decisions, including make‑vs‑buy analyses.
• Develop and maintain production standards, standard work instructions, engineering procedures, and process documentation.
• Establish equipment and process standards to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE/OPE).
• Analyze manufacturing data using statistical methods to identify trends and optimize performance.
• Own and lead engineering projects of moderate to high complexity, meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, equipment utilization, and downtime reduction.
• Manage capital projects portfolio from concept to implementation and support the transition to a Model Plant.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience overseeing manufacturing engineers and technical assessments.
• Strong background in manufacturing process design, capacity planning, and equipment effectiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes and standard work packages.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and statistical analysis.
• Ability to manage multi‑disciplinary projects and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
