Maintenance Technician – Facility Services

About the role

This position helps provide and maintain facilities for Church members, ensuring spaces for worship, teaching, learning, and community activities. The role involves scheduled and emergency preventative maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sound systems, as well as custodial duties.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sound systems.
• Repair or replace components such as motors, pumps, locks, millwork, sheetrock, flooring, and minor paint jobs.
• Conduct inside cleaning and grounds care duties, ensuring the meetinghouse and surrounding areas remain clean and orderly.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules to ensure warranty compliance and extend equipment life.
• Report safety hazards and attend meetings/training as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma with 1 year trade school or 2 years related experience.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, and proficiency with computers, MS Office, and web‑based programs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 lb, climbing ladders, and walking up to 4 miles per day.
