Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will ensure the uptime and reliability of production equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, support new equipment installations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) plans based on equipment criticality and performance data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new equipment in coordination with Engineering and Quality.
• Analyze downtime data, lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and DMAIC, and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
• Manage external vendors and contractors for maintenance activities.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements, and keep SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance logs up to date.
• Drive cost‑reduction and efficiency projects focused on equipment performance (OEE) and support spare‑parts strategy.
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably medical devices or other regulated industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Experience with CMMS, equipment reliability metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR), and root‑cause analysis.
• Knowledge of GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
