Logistics Specialist (Punta Cana)

About the role

FL Technics, a global provider of tailor-made services for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), is hiring a Logistics Specialist in Punta Cana. The role covers the coordination of domestic and international transportation of materials, tools and goods supporting aircraft maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute import and export shipments using efficient transportation solutions to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers, identify new carriers, negotiate freight rates and service conditions, and monitor service performance.
• Track shipments, resolve transportation issues proactively, and coordinate with carriers, customs brokers and other stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Coordinate import and export customs procedures and prepare and review transportation and customs documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and domestic and international transportation regulations, including dangerous goods regulations where required.
• Coordinate with internal departments so materials are available and delivered on time.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment documentation and operational reports.
• Identify and implement opportunities to optimise transportation costs, transit times, service quality and overall logistics efficiency.

Required profile

• Higher or post-secondary education in Logistics, Transportation Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in logistics, international transportation, foreign trade or a similar position; aviation logistics and dangerous goods experience is an advantage.
• Advanced Spanish and intermediate English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of logistics, transportation and supply chain processes, import/export and customs procedures.
• Ability to coordinate air, sea and ground transportation and to negotiate with carriers and suppliers.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and ADR certifications, training in international transportation and logistics.
