Inspector de Calidad – Turno 1

About the role

The Quality Inspector works the first shift on the production floor, ensuring that assemblies and finished products meet Eaton's quality specifications. The role involves performing audits, inspections, and statistical analyses to maintain high standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits at various process points and on finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
• Inspect assemblies according to manufacturing instructions and perform patrol inspections to detect and correct errors early.
• Verify component placement and quantity on final products using technical drawings.
• Maintain failure statistics, generate reports for supervisors, and safeguard calibrated measurement tools.
• Ensure products meet the Eaton Quality System (EQS) requirements and participate in departmental quality teams.
• Execute laboratory test operations as defined by specifications and follow the Manual of Procedures.
• Report component issues and initiate corrective‑action requests.
• Interpret technical drawings, use measurement equipment (calipers, angle comparators), and apply SPC techniques for problem analysis.
• Support safety, 5S/MESH compliance, and attend all assigned health‑safety‑environment trainings.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Bachiller).
• Basic knowledge of English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Preferably a technical background in basic electronics.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Auditing and inspection techniques.
• Use of measurement equipment such as calipers and angle comparators.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) for problem analysis.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic electronics knowledge.
