Ingeniero Hidrosanitario – Smart City Project

About the role

We are looking for a Hydrosanitary Engineer to join a highly specialized team working on Larimar City, the Caribbean’s first Smart City. The role involves overseeing the design, installation, testing and certification of all water‑related infrastructure on a large‑scale construction site.

Key responsibilities

• Validate hydrosanitary drawings, principle diagrams, calculation memos and technical specifications before field work begins.
• Verify material quantities and ensure timely provisioning to avoid project delays.
• Control pipe‑laying processes, drainage slopes, connection placement, supports, ventilations and sanitary fixture installation.
• Attend and certify hydrostatic, watertightness and flow tests to guarantee zero leaks before concrete pours.
• Inspect incoming pipes, valves, pumps and equipment (PVC, CPVC, PPR, black steel) for correct dimensions, certifications and branding.
• Resolve spatial conflicts between hydrosanitary systems and structural or other engineering services.
• Measure and approve executed work volumes for contractor payment authorization.
• Sign off test reports and validate final As‑Built drawings.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferred Master’s or postgraduate studies in hydrosanitary engineering (optional).
• 2‑3 years of experience supervising hydrosanitary installations on medium or large construction projects.
• Proven experience in designing hydrosanitary systems.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and calculation memos.
• Experience conducting and certifying hydrostatic and watertightness tests.
• Knowledge of pipe systems in PVC, CPVC, PPR and black steel.
