About the role

The Planning and Budget Engineer is responsible for planning, controlling and supervising construction projects to ensure they meet established deadlines, specifications, standards and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project schedules, identifying potential delays before they affect delivery.
• Perform quality controls on all construction activities according to specifications and continuously seek improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets, analyzing data to optimize expenses.
• Supervise internal and subcontracted work, ensuring compliance with time, quality and specification requirements.
• Ensure that executed works meet required quality standards and applicable regulations.
• Enforce safety standards on construction sites.
• Manage the issuance of quantity take‑offs and supplier payments according to procedures and timelines.
• Support the purchasing department in negotiations with contractors and suppliers, staying within budget.
• Produce daily activity reports with progress images, weekly project reports, and continuously update schedules.
• Generate management reports on project timelines, topographic planning, heavy equipment usage, earthworks, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in developing standardization policies and procedures for the engineering area.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in similar planning and budgeting functions.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Master’s degree in Construction Planning and Management is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Office 365.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Ability to work with MS Project.
