Incoming Technician

About the role

The Incoming Technician will perform audits, inspections and functional tests on manufacturing processes and incoming components from internal and external suppliers. The role ensures product quality by following Eaton’s quality standards and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional, visual and functional inspections of manufacturing processes and received components against current specifications (drawings, EBOM, material standards, test specs, manufacturing instructions).
• Identify and properly disposition non‑conforming material found on production lines or in the receiving inspection area.
• Validate rejections of components, sub‑assemblies and finished products.
• Assist line engineers with special inspections as required.
• Enter all received and processed material transactions in AS400 and Wisper (when applicable).
• Place non‑conforming material in the HOLD cage according to the Receiving Inspection Procedure and maintain up‑to‑date inspection records.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Technical high school diploma in Electronics/Electricity/Mechanics, or university engineering student with at least 85 credits, or at least 250 hours of study in related fields.
• Basic knowledge of English.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow safety, health, environment and 5S/MESH requirements.
• Commitment to attend all assigned safety and EHS trainings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AS400.
• Experience using Wisper for material tracking.
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Technical drawing interpretation.
• Basic quality inspection techniques.
