Green Investment Senior Officer & Project Manager

About the role

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is seeking a senior officer to lead a 36‑month technical assistance programme in the Dominican Republic. The role will support the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in strengthening institutional capacity, coordinating climate finance, and building a national investment pipeline to advance the country’s NDC and strategic climate frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and operationalise the Country Platform for Climate Finance as an inclusive coordination mechanism.
• Develop and validate the NDC Investment Plan, including investment priorities, a costed pipeline and potential funding sources.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, climate‑finance matchmaking and alignment with the Green Climate Fund readiness programme.
• Provide technical guidance on strategic frameworks, investment pipeline development and climate‑finance mobilisation.
• Monitor progress, produce reports and ensure alignment with GCF and national climate objectives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in environmental economics, climate finance, public policy or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in climate finance, green investment or project management, preferably with governments and multilateral donors.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing investment pipelines or climate‑finance strategies.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
