About the role

Babel, a multinational technology consultancy, is looking for an experienced IT Business Manager to drive growth of its Dominican Republic office. The role combines business development, account management, project delivery and team leadership within the banking and insurance sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities for the company’s IT services.
• Identify, develop and close commercial negotiations with existing clients and prospects.
• Design and ensure proper execution of service contracts, reporting monthly opportunities and production in internal systems.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, overseeing planning, execution and monitoring of projects.
• Implement upselling and cross‑selling strategies to maximize revenue per client.
• Ensure accurate invoicing, resolve billing discrepancies and monitor payment status.
• Lead and supervise project teams, support professional development and resolve operational issues.
• Collaborate with recruitment to open vacancies and secure suitable profiles.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets and quality standards, aligning outcomes with corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT services consulting and project management.
• Background in the banking and insurance sectors.
• Ability to manage strategic accounts, generate new business and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
