About the role

The Group and Conventions Manager is responsible for driving the strategic planning and execution of group sales for the hotel. This role ensures revenue targets are met while maintaining profitable margins and delivering high‑quality service to group clients.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in departmental briefings to report occupancy and hotel activities.
• Monitor and follow up on operational pending items via email.
• Oversee contract and budget preparation for the relevant market.
• Review proposals received, sent, and generated by other departments.
• Close sold contracts and guarantee room blocks in coordination with the reservations department.
• Supervise staff assigned to group sales activities.
• Generate group‑log reports detailing group revenue and occupied rooms.
• Enter closed contracts into the internal Delphi system.
• Coordinate inspection visits (fam‑trip) and develop strategic sales plans with sales managers.
• Provide training to staff and support the Group Sales Manager in operational tasks.
• Participate in national and international trips to promote hotel services.
• Maintain records of group contract sales for monthly closing and reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly sales closure reports to senior management.
• Develop expense budgets for group contract sales.
