About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the strategic acquisition of parts, ensuring optimal price, quality, and service while supporting the company’s operational continuity and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate purchases of parts to secure best price, quality, and service.
• Lead tender processes and supplier award decisions.
• Define commercial agreements with suppliers and set performance measurement parameters.
• Maintain and evaluate the supplier network, actively prospecting new partners.
• Ensure timely delivery of parts to customers, optimizing service levels.
• Prepare strategic plans and budgets for the purchasing area.
• Generate purchase plans aligned with customer consumption forecasts.
• Coordinate product performance testing to meet quality standards.
• Review and approve purchase orders, controlling prices and services.
• Manage sales of obsolete parts and control inventory of obsolete items.
• Optimize operational costs and resource utilization.
• Oversee continuous training for the team to foster innovation.
• Prepare management reports and present results to commercial director and general management.

Required profile

• Graduate in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Proficiency in English.
