Finance Analyst (Contract)

About the role

A contract Finance Analyst position at ABB in Arecibo, reporting to the HR Business Partner. The analyst provides financial expertise to the assigned organization by compiling and analyzing metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating findings and recommending actions to improve financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance against budget and forecast and propose improvement actions
• Work with finance colleagues to understand the drivers of financial performance and identify trends
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for tax, internal and external audits
• Reduce GR&I and blocked invoices and identify common issues
• Work with suppliers and internal customers to ensure timely payments, with OCM as a specific priority
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and verify that payroll is fully posted
• Estimate payroll by functional area and verify that benefit accruals are correctly recorded
• Other tasks such as reporting, payroll analysis and AI automation

Required profile

• BA in business administration (Finance, Accounting preferred)
• Experience in financial analysis
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting frameworks
• Ability to comply with quality (ISO 9001), HSE (ISO 14001) and HR standards, including the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct

Required skills

• SAP or other ERP systems experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
