Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of critical utilities and building systems in an industrial, GMP‑regulated environment. The role ensures that equipment runs reliably, safety and environmental standards are met, and continuous improvement initiatives are supported.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, air handling units, compressors, generators, UPS, fire protection and water treatment systems.
• Execute reliability techniques such as infrared thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound inspection and mechanical alignment.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory and ensure contractors comply with company and EES requirements.
• Support root‑cause investigations, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Follow all safety policies, Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and records‑management guidelines.
• Participate in equipment installations and minor building repairs.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, technical procedures and regulatory documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to all levels.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proficiency with general shop and power tools.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
